At Custom Websites Designer, we stand behind the quality of our work. However, because we provide custom digital services, not physical products, our refund policy is structured to ensure fairness for both our clients and our creative team.
By engaging our services (via proposal acceptance, deposit payment, or project kickoff), you agree to the terms outlined below.
1. Digital Services Are Non-Refundable After Work Begins
All services including web design, logo creation, branding, e-commerce setup, app development, book writing, SEO, and motion graphics are custom created to your unique specifications.
- The initial deposit (typically 50%) is non-refundable once work commences.
- No refunds are issued for completed or partially completed work, as time, creativity, and resources have already been invested.
This aligns with standard practice across the digital creative industry, as custom work cannot be resold or reused.
2. Cancellation Policy
You may cancel a project at any time by providing written notice (email accepted).
Upon cancellation:
- You will be billed for all work completed up to the cancellation date, based on hourly rates ($125/hour) or agreed milestones.
- Any remaining balance beyond the deposit will be invoiced.
- Final deliverables will be provided only after full payment is received.
We reserve the right to pause or terminate work if payments are overdue or communication ceases for more than 14 days.
3. Revisions & Satisfaction Guarantee
We are committed to your satisfaction:
- Most service packages include 2 rounds of minor revisions at no extra cost.
- We won’t consider a project “complete” until you’ve approved the final deliverables.
- If you’re unhappy with the direction of the work before approval, we’ll collaborate to realign within the original scope. Major scope changes may incur additional fees.
Note: Subjective preferences (e.g., “I changed my mind about the color”) are not grounds for refund but can often be addressed during revision rounds.
4. Third-Party Purchases & Subscriptions
Domain names, hosting, stock imagery, premium plugins, or software licenses purchased on your behalf are non-refundable, as these are billed directly by third parties (e.g., GoDaddy, Shopify, Adobe).
We will provide receipts and transfer ownership of these assets to you upon request.
5. E-Commerce & Web Application Functionality
While we thoroughly test all websites and apps before launch, bugs or compatibility issues discovered post-launch will be addressed:
- Free of charge if reported within 14 days and caused by our development work.
- Billable if caused by third-party integrations, client-side modifications, or new feature requests.
We do not guarantee sales, traffic, or performance outcomes — only the technical quality of our deliverables.
6. Book Writing & Marketing Services
Manuscripts, editing, cover design, and Amazon setup are final upon delivery and approval.
- Drafts may be revised during the agreed review phase.
- No refunds are issued after final files are delivered.
Book marketing results (e.g., sales, rankings) depend on market dynamics and are not guaranteed.
7. No Returns for Digital Deliverables
Once final files (e.g., logo .AI/.PNG, website code, manuscript .DOCX, app binaries) are delivered and paid for, they are yours to keep but non-returnable and non-refundable, per U.S. digital goods standards.
